Beer and South St. Louis

-----
Two weeks ago, we hosted our first walking lecture with internationally published, brewing historian, Chris Naffziger. Chris has written extensively about the history of beer in St. Louis, and KAMP Counselor Jason has had the opportunity to document some of the area's most restricted former breweries for Chris' articles.
--
This event shared some of those images and Chris' revelatory insights. After the lecture, attendees accompanied Naffziger to Lemp Brewery for a firsthand look. Our partners for the event, Earthbound Beer and Saint Louis Hop Shop, were the next stops on the tour, where we had the opportunity to drink some of the best beers currently in production throughout the region.  This was our first ever event to sell out completely!

One of the guests at this event, Paul Bechtel, is also a student in KAMP EDU's Photography Course, and shot some images of the evening for a class documentary project. Paul was super generous in allowing his work to appear below.
