KAMP HIKE #2: Dr. Edmond A. Babler Memorial State Park

-----
Dr. Edmond A. Babler Memorial State Park has long been a major recreation point for St. Louisans looking to escape the city for a bit. The Dogwood Trail is a great introduction to the varied terrain of the Park, and with several elevation changes across its short distance, it's just challenging enough to get the blood pumping. Once you've done this one, go back sometime for the longer Equestrian Trail.

The Group took a short spur to Babler Spring, a fun diversion that brings some cool relief on a hot day.

Our Hike for June is planned to follow one of the most popular trails in the St. Louis Area, the River Scene Trail at Castlewood State Park. We hope to see a lot of you there, and be sure to bring your cameras because Castlewood has some great views!
