This course is instructed by Ali Jenkins, who has trained in the martial arts for over 31 years. He has trained in various martial art styles including American Kenpo, Aikido, Shorin Ryu, Budo Jiu-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, and Tang Ken Ru Jiu Jitsu. He received his degree belts from Hall of Fame 10th Degree Grand Master / Professor Walter Justice. Ali holds a 5th Degree Black Belt (Associate Professor of the Arts) in American Kenpo, and a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tang Ken Ru Jiu Jitsu. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Ali has traveled around the United States instructing students, conducting self-defense seminars, and providing Close Protection Services for high profile individuals.  Ali’s goals are to help others improve their natural logical flow of motion in self- defense situations, while simultaneously improving their physical fitness, confidence, and awareness of others.  With an overall focus on uplifting the spirit of the community, Ali instructs others on how to become masters of their physical and mental attributes. “He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position”, is an American Kenpo saying that Ali advises his clients of daily. He instructs clients on how to position themselves logically, with multiple attackers. He advises clients to move from the “point of origin”, using “economy of motion” in self- defense situations. He advises clients to utilize their entire body as a weapon in self-defense encounters. Ali is a member of the Tendou Kenpo Karate Organization, the World Black Belt Bureau, and Larry Tatum’s Kenpo Karate Association. He was recently inducted in the U.S.A. MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME in 2017 and has a self defense T.V. show “Staying Fit with Amun Logic” on STL.TV.NET public access channel.
