Yoga for Kids is specifically designed to bring the gift of yoga to little KAMPers. Through creative expression, exercise games, yoga poses, breathing techniques and guided visualization, kids will go from play to rest in 45 minutes! Children who participate in Yoga for Kids will come away understanding the importance of play, patience, kindness and self-control all while developing body awareness and a sense of confidence.
Parents will need to sign a waiver before and enjoy some time away.
About the Instructor:
Sherri “Sher” Nicholson
A St. Louis native and an experienced and certified trauma-informed yoga instructor. Vested social worker of 10+ year within various Missouri juvenile detention centers and working with at-risk youth and their parents. I began my yoga journey in 2016 while practicing hot yoga at Everybody Yoga. Trying self-care activities to help with the compassion fatigue of my career, I found myself practicing yoga more and wanting to find ways to make yoga more accessible to my peers, children and the community. Since completing the 200hr-YTT with Yoga Buzz in 2017, I am eager to share my uniqueness in yoga instruction.
